On the 10th June 2012 Peter Gardiner ran the Caen Marathon in northern France in honour of Dougie
"Around 3,000 people took part along the coastline of Normandy, so although it is not one of the major races, it is the same 26.2 miles as all the others! Training was a tough experience but I got round in 4 hours 47 minutes and although it was difficult on the day it was a challenge I'm sure Dougie would have relished."
Thanks to all the wonderful support Pete got he raised £1,399 with the Gift Aid still to come, as well as a further £500 from his Company. He thanks all his donors for giving as much money as possible for such a great cause.
We would love to hear from you if you know of any soldier (whether current or past), family member or any project that might benefit from our help.
