The Doug McLelland Birthday Challenge which benefits charities every year is took place on 18 October this year. Doug has become a generous supporter of the Trust and is once again donating a proportion of the magnificent £12,000 funds raised to DDMT.
Doug is a PGA golfer who, with partners, owns and runs a number of golf clubs including the well known Silvermere golfing establishment in Surrey. Doug's superstore there is recognised as the busiest retail outlet of any golf complex in Europe.
Kingswood was designed in the 1920’s by the five times Open Champion, James Braid, and comprises 6,954 yards of golfing experience.
It has been described as "James Braid's finest parkland course in England"
