Gilly Halcrow's talk on the Special Operations Executive on Saturday 15th March was awesome in many respects - not least in the record breaking amount of around £12,000 raised through ticket sales, donations and a terrific auction conducted with great enthusiasm and humour by Committee Member Prue Seddon's son, Tommy. Around 120 friends gathered to hear the talk delivered by Gilly in a Union Jack waistcoat and enjoy a delicious dinner, brilliantly prepared and served from the tiny kitchen behind the main Hall. The Committee had worked tirelessly to ensure a tremendous evening which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The final amount has still to be calculated but in the meantime the Trust is immensely grateful to Gilly and her Committee.
We would love to hear from you if you know of any soldier (whether current or past), family member or any project that might benefit from our help.
