DDMT is proud to have made more donations to help injured servicemen and women get back on their feet. In the spirit of "getting the wind back in the hair" the Trust supported a sick Serviceman on an expedition to Nepal in April which he described as a "fantastic experience" and about which he undertook a research study at Leeds Beckett University. We have also been able to respond with some support for a family going through an incredibly tough time as a result of post deployment issues.
These two payments bring the total amount distributed by the Trust since November 2010 to over £400,000 which is a staggering amount from a small charity. The Trustees are enormously grateful to all its wonderful fundraisers and importantly to Robbie Donaldson and his Distribution Committee for carefully investigating, and acting with great speed where necessary, to ensure that all funds raised are used to the best possible effect to support those men and women who need it most.
We would love to hear from you if you know of any soldier (whether current or past), family member or any project that might benefit from our help.
